Welcome, Solar Eclipse Visitors!

We're so glad you're here! Whether you're in town in the days leading up to the eclipse looking to see all that Hopkinsville has to offer, or you're looking to have a viewing spot on August 21, Christian Way Farm and Mini Golf is pleased to welcome guests coming to Hopkinsville, Kentucky for the total solar eclipse.  We have several events planned for the weekend, in addition to the usual fun to be had at Christian Way Farm!

Our hours of business during the eclipse weekend will be 10 AM to 10 PM Friday, August 18 through Sunday, August 20 and 6:30 AM - 9 PM on Monday, August 21.

On Sunday, August 21 we will welcome Professor Emeritus of Astronomy Dr. Gerald Newsom to Christian Way Farm at 4 PM.  Dr. Newsom was a post-doctoral researcher at Imperial College in London and then was on the faculty at Ohio State University for 35 years. Dr. Newsom has been to five total solar eclipses, four of which had clear weather. As a student, he worked two summers at a solar observatory, so the sun has always had a special fascination for him. Dr. Newsom will describe a bit of how the sun works, and about what we should watch for at a total eclipse of the sun.

Beginning at 7 PM on Sunday, August 21, Cameron Mills and Daniel Doss will lead us in a special "With Our Eyes On the Heavens" Worship Service.
Our worship leader Daniel Doss' debut, Greater Than Us All, was released by Sparrow Records in 2008 under the moniker of the Daniel Doss Band. Today an acclaimed songwriter with Word Worship Music, Doss leads worship in churches and at camps and conferences around the country. He and his wife have also been instrumental in launching two congregations. Learn more about Daniel and his music at www.danieldossband.com.

Our speaker Cameron Mills is best known for sinking crucial three-point field goals for the Kentucky Wildcats down the stretch of the 1998 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship game. He holds several three-point records at the University of Kentucky and currently serves as chaplain of the men's basketball team. You can reach Cameron thru his ministry at www.CMM21.com

An ordained minister, Cameron travels across the United States speaking to church groups, high schools and other youth organizations. Excited about sharing the Gospel in his home state, Cameron will share a message that directs us to consider the One who is responsible for this Great Eclipse!
