Fall Group Tours

In the Fall of 2000, we opened Christian Way Farm simply to offer field trips for the local schools.  Little did we know that they would become so popular and that we would be able to open the farm 6 days a week for groups and individuals to come visit.  We have come a long way from that first field trip with a few borrowed animals, a storybook, a pumpkin patch and corn maze.

We hope that this page will help you understand what are your options and how to schedule your group tour.

Teachers, we make every effort to make the fall tour educational in nature so that you can be assured that it will be money well spent as part of your efforts to make your field trip part of your overall education plan.  In the past we have proposed how our lessons match the curriculum requirements, but all that changes faster than we can keep up with it.  Please ask us if you need details to support your lesson plans.

To schedule a group tour, please call 270.269.2434 or email Christianwayfarm@gmail.com and we will help you coordinate a time and day.  To get information on pricing for groups and all farm activities check out the Pricing tab for up-to-date information.

Story time:
Janie will spend time with your group, talking about how pumpkins grow, how to shell and grind the corn to feed the animals, and her special story about God's love.

Then it's time for shelling corn, grinding it and feeding the animals.

Off to the pumpkin patch by the tractor wagon ride.  The driver will unload you at the entrance to the corn maze and pick you up in the pumpkin patch.

Pumpkins of all sizes are ready for your group to pick.  For group tours only, the pumpkin is included in the students price.  (Walk in visitors and the adults with the group tours must purchase their pumpkins.  They may pick from the field or the barn and pay at the store.)
And then it's play time--the hay castle, the corn trucks, the lawnmower train and the playground area!

All of these activities are available six days a week.  For tours during the week, the tour is guided up to play time.  On Saturdays, the tour starts with story time and the rest of the "tour" is at your pace.  You travel the pumpkin patch whenever you are ready as the hayrides go continuously on Saturdays.

Other options while you are here:  The country Store.

Picnic areas.. food is available daily, in our newly constructed Christian Way Cafe!  We offer Hunt Brothers Pizza and Wings (boneless and traditional) as well as hotdogs, burgers, bologna and more.  You are welcome to bring a picnic, and for our larger groups we encourage that.  (If you have a request to accommodate a group with food please contact us ahead of time).

Mini golf is available for an additional charge.

And also available for an additional fee and prior arrangement:  a bonfire to cook your hotdogs and make a smore!
