Christian Way Farm's Roadside Farm Market Peaches: Watch the website or call for availability. We grow three freestone varieties (Red Haven, Bella Georgia, a white peach, and Redskin). Peaches are sometimes hard to grow as an early freeze can ruin the crop before it really gets started. We experienced that freeze in 2006 and spring temperatures in 2007 have been difficult too. So watch the website to see if we have a crop this year or not. Other vegetables: We will grow the vegetables for our theme food as well as other garden favorites. There is usually a surplus of most of the vegetables that we grow. Call or e-mail us to find out what's available. Usually we have tomatoes, peppers (hot and sweet), potatoes and in the fall greens. Flowers: Our favorites are zinnias and sunflowers. But each year we try different things. We are always willing to sell bouquets from the garden. Surprise someone today with fresh flowers from the garden! Herbs: We are beginning to establish a small herb garden. It started as a means of displaying the herbs to our visitors, but as the herbs have grown, we have begun to sell fresh herbs from the garden. Daylilies: We have over 60 named varieties and many more unnamed varieties. We will dig from March to November. To see the flowers in bloom and make a selection, come see us in mid-June to mid-August. |
